SCO to market its mobile solutions through iBilt in India

The SCO Group Inc., a provider of UNIX software technology and mobile services, has named iBilt Technology as its partner for its mobility products in India.

"Choosing iBilt as a partner is going to augment the spread of our Mobility solutions. iBilt is an end-to-end IT solutions provider and, at this point of time, SCO wanted to join hands with an organization that had a strong base in the Government sector," said Subodh Rustagi, country head India and SEA.

"As per the understanding, iBilt will sell the SCO Mobile server to all verticals, but will focus more on the Government and corporate sectors and buy licenses from SCO for the same," said Rustagi.

"SCO will provide sales and technical training to the iBilt team to enable it to position the solution to the targeted customers. Initially the application will be developed by SCO and then later the skills will be transferred to iBilt so that it can develop the application on its own," added Rustagi.

"SCO's emobility provides an uninterrupted data sharing process, which makes the current information available on a real-time basis. SCO Mobile Server technology has a lot of potential in Indian market, as it provides a complete end-to-end solution, and it enables the user to upload and download data on the move," said Ashok Tiwari, Chairman, iBilt Technology.
