Global dialogue on services delivery and eID to be organized by e-Development thematic group of The World Bank

The global dialogue titled " Service Delivery and electronic Identification " scheduled from 5.30 pm - 8.00 pm on India Time on May 7,2009 is expected to have participation from South Asian countries to discuss how National ID card and other eIDs can help improving the services delivery to citizens.

The Global dialogue is organized by e-TG of The World Bank to help developing countries understand and leverage the potential of Electronic Identify frameworks in delivering public services. The global dialogue will be chaired by Mr. Deepak Bhatia, who is e-Government Applications Practice Leader at The World Bank. Many prominent speakers from across the world including government representatives from South Asian countries are expected to participate in the global dialogue. Those who would like to attend in person at the India office of the World Bank may get in touch with the India coordinator for the workshop.
